European Bank Holiday Friday May 1st – ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS
Friday 1st May 2020 is a European bank holiday although a normal banking day in Ireland. As a result, no electronic Euro payments can be transferred to other Banks both in Ireland and abroad on this day on account of the European Clearing System being closed.
All electronic Euro credit transfer payments will not be received by the Beneficiary until Monday 4th May. Direct debits leaving a members account on Friday May 1st will not leave until Monday 4th May and direct debits will not be deducted until Monday 4th May.
Please bear this is mind for electronic transactions and that anything done at the counter after mid morning on Thursday 30th April will not be processed and will not settle in the destination accounts until Monday 4th May. This will be the same for funds that members are sending in electronically from their bank accounts to their credit union accounts. Transactions will resume as normal on Monday 4th May.
Please also bare in mine that as Monday, May 4th, is a Bank Holiday, our offices in Togher and Bandon Road will be closed.
Thank you for your patience.
