Job Vacancy: Member Services Officer (MSO)
A vacancy for a Member Services Officer has arisen in The Lough Credit Union (TLCU). With
this role, the applicant will be Working across our 2 Branch Network (Branch Offices in
Bandon Road and Togher) in line with the needs of the business. This is a full time role with
a requirement to work 71.50 hours per fortnight. Reporting to the Operations Officer the
successful applicant will work as part of the member services team responsible for providing
an excellent member services experience to members and potential members across all
business channels – counter, phone, online and email.
Duties:
Undertake MSO duties such as processing lodgements, withdrawals, inputting loan
applications and issuing approved loans.
Dealing with front line and back-office administration functions, including document
management and payment allocation.
Assisting members with any of the range of services offered by the Credit Union
(payroll deduction, direct debits, standing orders, etc.).
Promoting the products and services of the Credit Union in daily member
engagement.
Contribute to the achievement of TLCU targets on loan sales and member service
metrics.
Co-operation with the Operations Officer in the development and/or
implementation of new technology or services.
To be aware of and compliant with various procedures, legislation and regulations
governing Credit Union operations.
To be aware of and comply with all Health & Safety regulations as directed by the
credit union.
To undertake such other reasonable and lawful duties as may be directed from time
to time by the CEO.
Engage in annual training.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have/be:
Demonstrable “member service” credentials and an ability and desire to enhance
member service at every opportunity
Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication skills.
Good I.T. skills, coupled with strong numeracy.
Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
Highly motivated with a desire for continuous improvement.
Loans experience would be desirable but not essential
Experience of working in a Credit Union or Financial Services Institution
QFA, CUA, APA or actively working towards a qualification in either is preferable,
although not essential.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and also as a team player
