You can join The Lough Credit Union online through our website or by visiting us in branch.
Is there account charges or fees?
The Lough Credit Union do not charge members any account charges or fees.
How do I prevent my account going dormant?
Members must have a completed transaction within the last 3 years to prevent dormancy.
My account has gone dormant, what do I do now?
You will need to come in with valid photo ID and proof of address dated within the last 6 months to reactivate your account.
Can I access my account in branch without my book?
Yes, we will ask you security questions and verify you photographically to confirm your identity.
How do account nominees work?
Members can nominate one or more nominees to receive the funds on your account in the event of your death, up to the value of €27,000.
What is death benefit insurance?
The Lough Credit Unions €1,000 death benefit insurance is developed to support funeral expenses to all our members with a share balance of €200 in the event of their death.
Do I need to pre order cash withdrawals?
Yes, cash withdrawals over €2,000 need to be ordered.
How much savings can I have?
Our current savings cap is €15,000 for minors and €100,000 for adults.
Can anyone lodge money to my account?
Yes but they will not be given your account balance or information regarding your account.
Can I lodge my wages or social welfare into my credit union account?
Yes, you can lodge using your IBAN and BIC or you can get paid directly into your credit union.
Can I lodge money or pay off my loan using my debit card?
Yes, you can make debit card payments in branch or over the phone.
